Involving experts by experience in knowledge mobilisation

We are looking forward to sharing the findings from our UKRI Policy Fellowship at a lunchtime webinar hosted in partnership with the UK Cabinet Office.

Attendees will hear about our research into whether, how and in what ways lived experience experts can best be involved in knowledge mobilisation for policy and practice.

Based on interviews with What Works Centres and other evidence centres, a rapid desktop review, and reflective research within two What Works Centres, we will share insights into:

• The value of involving lived experience experts in knowledge mobilisation
• Deciding whether or not to take this approach
• Clarity about purpose, role and degree of participation
• How we can work together with lived experience experts
• Risks, challenges and overcoming these
