Cheryl Moore

Cheryl Moore joined the Wales Centre for Public Policy (WCPP) in 2024, leading the professional services team to support the work of the Centre. Her diverse career includes 16 years’ experience working at the interface between university, public and private sectors.

Before joining WCPP, she was Programme Manager of the £10m CCR Challenge Fund, a partnership between Cardiff University and Cardiff Capital Region supporting public bodies in SE Wales to tackle societal challenges by co-creating novel solutions with innovative solution providers.  The Challenge Fund programme has supported five major challenges and generated high levels of interest across other regions in the UK and internationally, providing a real-world example that can inform a mission-driven approach to organising government policies and activities.

Cheryl was previously Innovation Manager at the SETsquared partnership, working across six UK universities to develop and deliver external links for collaborative research and innovation.

An accredited programme and project manager (MSP, APMQ and Prince2) and member of the Association of Project Management, Cheryl has an MBA and First Class BA Hons in Business Administration.
