Lowri O'Donovan

Lowri O'Donovan joined the Wales Centre for Public Policy (WCPP) in 2024. Prior to joining the team, Lowri completed her PhD and worked in various research roles at Cardiff University’s School of Medicine. Her research focused largely on environmental risk factors for developing mental health conditions, and the challenges with access to public services, such as mental health and additional educational support services.

She is experienced in public and professional stakeholder involvement and engagement in research. She is also experienced in knowledge transfer between sectors, particularly between the academia and the voluntary sector, having led a Knowledge Transfer Partnership between Cardiff University and Cerebra.

Lowri is especially interested in translational research, public involvement and engagement in research, and research which aims to address social and economic inequalities.
