Sophia Walters started with the Wales Centre for Public Policy in September 2025 for her professional placement as a part of her Bsc Sociology degree at Cardiff University.
During her studies she has built some knowledge on policy and practices through her methodology module 'Evaluating Social Policy' combined with her interest for social change and reducing inequalities.
Throughout the duration of her placement, Sophia hopes to deepen her understanding of the policy context in Wales and gain practical experience in social research processes and methodology.
