As set out in the Well-being of Future Generations Act, communities are a vital asset and partner, of national and local government, in achieving Wales’ collective social, economic and environmental ambitions. Collaboration between the public sector and communities flourished in response to the Covid-19 pandemic and, in the context of reduced public service capacity, remains critical to improving social wellbeing, tackling poverty and social exclusion, and achieving our environmental goals.
Building on a body of work to inform public sector approaches to tackling loneliness in Wales, as a core member of the Resourceful Communities Partnership, we are now providing the Welsh Government and wider public services with evidence and expertise to enable effective collaboration between the public and community sectors in Wales as a key mechanism to strengthening community wellbeing.
If you are a policy maker or practitioner in search of evidence to inform your work in relation to community wellbeing, please email info@wcpp.org.uk to find out how we might be able to help.
